What types of pieces do I work on?
I specialise in in the re-upholstering and re-covering of occasional chairs. That is to say armchairs, decorative bedroom chairs, statement chairs. I also work on drop-in seats as well as stools and benches. If you take a look through my gallery you will get a good idea of the types of projects I undertake.

What pieces don't I take on?
I'm afraid that if what you're after is someone to re-cover a three-piece suite or to make loose covers I'll hold my hands up right now and tell you I'm not the person you are looking for. Thanks anyway for looking and maybe I can help you with something else another time.

What can I do for your chair?
I provide a re-covering or re-upholstery service depending what the chair needs. I am able to carry out minor repair works on the frames, if required, and I am also able to restore and re-polish any show wood.

So how does it work?

The first thing I suggest is that you email me a photo - I can tell you whether or not your chair is something I can help you with.

The second step would be for me to come and see the chair to assess the amount of work required.

It's at this point that I would be able to tell you whether re-covering is sufficient or whether re-upholstery is required. I will also be able to tell whether the frame will need any obvious repairs and we can discuss restoring/re-polishing the show wood, if relevant. I will also take the opportunity to measure the chair so I can provide you with the measurements you need to buy your top fabric. This visit is entirely free, at your convenience and there is no-obligation.

I take all this information and draw up a comprehensive quote for you to consider. If acceptable, we negotiate a convenient start date and take it from there.
